I’m slowly catching up, Karin, but had to comment on this one. The Holy Spirit is literally HAMMERING Proverbs 11:25 into my head:
The generous person will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.
Life is not about “getting all you can, canning all you get, and sitting on the can.” It’s about pouring into the lives of others and being a blessing to them. Yes, those sacrifices definitely please God!
